To make a fireplace first you need a stick, and some rags. Combine the two to make a fireplace kit.
Then you need to get firewood from a tree with a splitting axe or a fire axe.
Put the firewood in the fireplace kit and light it by having matches in your hands and selecting 'light fire'
To upgrade a fireplace you need 8 stones, to get stones you need to mine any large rock with a pickaxe.
